Pharos appears early in the game to welcome Minato (the main character) to his new dorm. The child with the innocent yet sly smile asks him to sign a document. A document which would trigger a series of events that would soon affect not only himself, but those involved with the Dark Hour.
"You're Late."

"If you want to proceed, sign your name there."
"Don't be afraid. It's just a contract."
"All it says that from here on out, you'll accept full responsibility for your decisions."
